I did say I was way off...
  • What I think happens after death
None of you should be speaking for the dead. It's quite unbecoming.
  • What I think happens after death
@Raymond @Bitter Crank you're both way off, and so am I.
  • The Secret History of Western Esotericism.
A podcast about the clever ways folk get things wrong. — Banno

Did you start a podcast @Banno?
  • The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists and the money trick
    ↪universeness
'ragged-trousered' is a compound adjective so it needs a hyphen between the two words.
  • James Webb Telescope
What's your avatar about? A tear in a building? — Raymond

Smullyan would be a fan of it

    are you Raymond Smullyan?

I think it's only 4 days until JWST gets to L2
  • Brexit
    ↪Wayfarer
I hope you're right, but I don't think you're taking into account the growing isolationism/moron-ization of the UK populace.
  • Brexit
So, it's looking awfully like Waterloo for Boris, ain't it? From here in the Antipodes, he really does seem an empty suit, and one who's time is just about up. — Wayfarer

Like putin, he's the human equivalent of that strain of dog shit that just can't be scrubbed off one's shoe. I can see him sticking around for a while yet.

    @Zolenskify OK I will get a booster

    ↪Zolenskify
I'm not sure if I even need to get a booster. I had both doses of AstraZeneca last year, and omicron doesn't seem to be severe...
  • Coronavirus
Who here has had a 'booster' dose of the vaccine? How was it?
  • Is sleeping an acceptance of death?
    ↪Raymond
    without charge?

I've seen a ghost before. It was the spirit of a man in a rock on a coastal road in the Philippines. I think he was watching me drive by.

  • Is sleeping an acceptance of death?
    ↪TiredThinker
equating sleep and death is clichéd.

Sleeping is part of life; it's something that can't physically be done when dead.

thank you. I don't understand what the astrophysicist from 4:15 is saying about what can be learned about dark matter/energy.

So, JWT (or JWST) can tell us about the early evolution of galaxies, but she didn't explain what we would specifically find out about dark matter/energy.
  • James Webb Telescope
Will the pictures JWT beams down be of the past (in terms of the universe)?
