Thank you. I'm glad to see you saw merit in the post. And I have hope (which is a rarity in itself for me) that the quoted excerpt should come to fruition. Especially in this generation (mine). It's part of a larger piece that I'm currently working on. So hopefully it can begin on a molecular level.
I find this quote by Richard Dawkins to be insightful: "An existing god therefore would not be a being greater than which a greater cannot be conceived because an even more formidable and incredible creator would be a god which did not exist."

I assume you're referring to the Judeo-Christian Bible. Yes, according to their beliefs, the soul is immortal. However, all religions are derivative of one another; it's not the first claim of immortal souls.
