  • Is it possible to experience more emotions?
Ok so, you where saying we can only experience a minimum of 4 emotions. Which made me think, emotions are caused by effects of thinking. We think about what someone has said which creates anger. The same for happiness, sadness and fear. I

So, aren't emotions a side effect of logic?
  • Is it possible to experience more emotions?
Isn't emotion a side effect of logic?
  • What is the point of detail?
Yea what nutter came up with that
  • What is the point of detail?
No such thing as limits Sir crank
  • Is it possible to experience more emotions?
Are you saying the emotions humanity can experience is absolute? There is nothing more to feel than what our brain gives us to feel? We cannot produce more different emotions?
  • Is it possible to experience more emotions?
With emotions, I mean we have happiness and sadness. They are two different emotions, is there another different emotion which we can experience?

And yes I agree when you compare intelligence with the degree of emotion...I can see where you're going with that
  • What is the point of detail?
    Yes, diversity.

Although this can be explained through math; millions of permutations of atoms and quarks all result in different results. That isn't a tough question if you think it that way...but then...

    I'll do some math.

So within the periodic table there are 118 known elements. There would be more as the periodic table is infinite, these elements simply exist long enough to be observed.

    But let's consider 118.

According to my calculations, of adding nPr(118,1) + nPr(118,2)….nPr(118,118)
    I came to this number

    1277289920774837491685273698337412570740246474184832653864969565056747036304389836964366416910060289517686346331845655563574120961558360303664945323693730491547858688084099388378566657176959403502

That's how many 'things' can possibly exist within the periodic table. Of 118 known elements

So it's no surprise there is diversity.

    Okay makes sense :)
  • What is the point of detail?
'One possible speculation then is that the universe might work like an oracle machine - making up the answers as time progresses (assuming that time is not relational), but staying consistent.'

I am new to this theory. Interesting
  • What is the point of detail?
If you travel faster than the speed of light you go back in time - theoretically. I don't think there exists limits to anything, and I'm curious as to why.
  • What is the point of detail?
AAHHAHA 'I like a woman with teeth'
  • Is it possible to experience more emotions?
"I see love and hate as decisions we make that are strongly influenced by how we feel." Very well said!

    I appreciate your response :)
  • The basics of free will
I think you are correct in where we do not have free will; see when we are born we have to construct a reality from our surroundings and therefore receive a biased view on our world and of people. So, we base decisions based on our experience and environment growing up. We do have the ability to choose though, you are correct.

But that is all we have. No one on this earth or in history has free will. I argue it doesn't even exist.
  • Why do we gossip?
That's perfect! 'helps us to build the value structures of our reality'

We need it in order to gain an understanding of the reality around us, and to attempt to understand our position in the world!

    Thankyou :)
  • Why do we gossip?
Why would it be a strange question? It is just something very common, and I would like to know why we like to talk about others? Specifically, of ill manner or behind their back without their knowledge?
  • Is it possible to experience more emotions?
When you asked me how do we know that every single person has the capacity to feel as much as the next, I'm referring to the biological processes of the brain.

And referring to your last sentence, does that then mean the amount of intelligence that someone possesses determine their scope or range of emotions?
  • Abortion and premature state of life
Consider it this way, we can only exist and do something once at a time. At the moment you can only do one thing even though you are capable of doing many things. When you abort a foetus, or a baby, or killing anything for the matter - it won't be as dramatic as everyone seems to make it. The real horror is taking a life, my thoughts are that although life is a great gift and so many wonderful opportunities arise, the death of a human will not stop the world going around.

Killing it will only last a second, it is not cruel, especially since the baby won't really go to hell for it. Whether it dies or it lives it doesn't matter. Our conscious or state of being is what is important, not existing physically. I don't think the baby will fully die. It just won't exist to us.
  • How Do You Know You Exist?
It doesn't really matter if you exist or don't exist. It won't change anything
  • Technology Toward Reality
I think since there is no stable definition of reality, that is an unanswerable question because everything is constantly changing. Of course we could develop technology to experience everything within a given area. But what would you want to do with that?
