I think there's an easier way to do that. I've forgotten what it is though. Excuse me while I snail mail a cheque to Jeff Bezos for a copy of https://www.amazon.co.uk/Luddite-Rebellion-Brian-J-Bailey/dp/0750913533.

but he can't make me use words that don't represent my identity. I am a man - a human male. — Harry Hindu

I guess your identity comes directly from your dick. That fits. Although for most people, there's this thing called society that gets in between dangly bits and their identity-forming powers.

I like having you around. Reminds me of the good old days when we used to argue about stuff. The fifties I think it was.

Well, on the bright side, you've managed to use Feedback to get one of your random chats on the front page. And I'm sure no-one will notice.

Sure, and you've now got a trillion dollar deficit and record debt because Trump bought a continuation of Obama era progress with tax cuts for his rich friends. Patting him on the back for that is like complimenting some poor fool who buys a Mercedes on credit card debt he can never pay back.
  • Donald Trump (All General Trump Conversations Here)
The latest is many GOP senators accept there was a quid pro quo for dirt on Biden and it's just a matter of time before they change strategy and start claiming that's absolutely fine i.e do a Mulvaney. Watch the rest of the professional (and amateur) bootlickers follow suit when Trump gives them the nod.

The Republicans are so far up Trump's ass now, it would take an enema to extract them. I'm just going to amuse myself as they and the rest of Trump's minions ditch all pretence of self-respect and intellectual honesty defending him while he carries on not giving a crap and throwing them under new buses.

I haven't read everything you've written, but you've certainly made insightful and interesting comments. So, I'm a bit saddened you feel as you do. But I respect where you're coming from, and you're always welcome if you change your mind.

You may not have noticed, but if you point out the reality of racism in any form, @Harry Hindu will find a way to accuse you of racism. It's his one game here and he never ever gets tired of it.

Hey Tiff, yeah, don't want to be advertising Grammarly (especially since their pro version is such a rip-off), buuut if you add their free extension to Chrome, they have a smiley face tone checker thing that checks your writing, which is kind of an interesting idea. It's giving me a neutral tone right now... Um, just changed: see the screenshot.

For lack of a better place, I'll just stick this here. I'm normally not a fan of Grammarly but they've recently added a tone checker to their browser extension that measures how friendly you're being when you write something (currently, it's rating me as friendly). Now, there's a good chance the tool is as inaccurate as Grammarly's severely overhyped grammar checker, in which case forget it, but if not, it may be of some use in the interpersonal sphere.

You should direct that to Trump's resident spin-doctor. I don't have a dog in the fight. (I'd only remark that not being a worse liar than Trump is an achievement shared by 99.9% of the human race, including by frequent liars like Clinton.)

What lie or lies did she tell? — tim wood

:brow: Are you serious? You could start with this: https://www.politifact.com/personalities/hillary-clinton/ . Close to one-third of every statement recorded was a lie. But I really only wanted to point out how you and the other side mirror each other but can't see it.

Any differences between, that you can discern? — tim wood

Yes, Trump is a rude scumbag. The rest were polite ones.

You are to Clinton what @NOS4A2 is to Trump, utterly and blindly uncritical. Your only saving grace is you talk less about her than he does about him.

Because he's a Trump propaganda noise machine. The evidence is all over the news and everyone knows what's going on.

Like I said above, it depends on intent. There's a political element to it (certainly in the US) that's transparently self-serving for right-wingers who don't care about racism.

It's potentially worse. Depending on intent, it can be a strategy for a dominant group, after ensuring a dominated group has been pushed to the bottom of society, to claim moral brownie points for doing nothing to right the wrong.
