  • America: Why the lust for domination and power?
    ↪Qwex
:chin: Well, I have bigger fish to fry, anyway.

So, President Trump. Why are you such a whiny little bitch?
  • America: Why the lust for domination and power?
    ↪Qwex
We don’t help our own people that much. There are hundreds of thousands of drug overdoses year to year, and that is mainly due to hopelessness. I give a much larger percentage of my net worth to charity each year than the top 1% pay in taxes, let alone what they give in charity. America isn’t charitable. We’re greedy Scrooges.

I just want to fucking die — Maw

No, that’s what he will be saying.
  • America: Why the lust for domination and power?
    ↪Qwex
You’re not serious, are you? I’m not even talking about myself. I’m fine. I used to live in the ghetto for six years. Those people are not fine.
  • America: Why the lust for domination and power?
    ↪Qwex
Sure, you can’t make every American’s life great, but you can at least put in an effort. America doesn’t even try that.
  • America: Why the lust for domination and power?
    ↪Qwex
Are you saying if it weren’t the US policing the world, it would be, say, China? I don’t disagree with this, but don’t you think the American government could do more about poverty, hunger, and healthcare, being the wealthiest country in the history of the planet?
  • America: Why the lust for domination and power?
    ↪Qwex
    I don’t follow you.
  • America: Why the lust for domination and power?
    ↪Frank Apisa
    Amen, brother.
  • America: Why the lust for domination and power?
    ↪Qwex
Most Americans believe the lies. In a lot of other countries, the citizenry aren’t so naive. That’s the difference.
  • The burning fawn.
    ↪Wallows
I suffer. You suffer. The fawn suffers. We think it is bad because it is us. If you are going to posit a god, then it’s not a stretch to think that life goes on after death. You have to know the bad to know the good because you have to have something to compare it to. Perhaps the burning alive is the flip side of the coin of bliss in the afterlife.
  • America: Why the lust for domination and power?
    ↪Wallows
If you replaced “Central” with “Corporate” in “CIA”, then I think you might have a better idea of what this country is all about. America is a business. Don’t be fooled by your disability benefits. America doesn’t care that much about you. Your benefits are a small token of “Sorry we run the world and own everything, but here’s $1000/month because it’s cheaper than keeping you locked up 24/7, and we have a facade to uphold.”
  • The burning fawn.
    ↪Wallows
I’m just saying, it’s ludicrous to think that you could figure out God’s knowledge with a human mind. If you’re just saying that God cannot exist because suffering, then I agree that we might as well sit in silence.

Why do so many atheists want to debate fundamentalist beliefs about God? Atheist says that God has to be x, y, and z. There is something that is not x. Therefore, God doesn’t make sense.

    This is children’s play.
  • The burning fawn.
    ↪Wallows
You don’t know that it isn’t the case that the more you suffer the better your afterlife. “No pain. No gain.” Who says that the fawn’s soul didn’t bargain for that life before it was born? Perhaps it was shooting for a penthouse suite in Heaven.

All I’m saying is that you don’t know anything about God’s intentions.

I’m thinking about starting a Twitter campaign. #DemsTrollTrump

Say something about his small hands, low IQ, failed businesses, orange skin, or baby-bitch temper tantrums and tag @RealDonaldTrump with #DemsTrollTrump.

That whiny little bitch couldn’t handle it, and I would bet he would die of a stroke before the election! :100:

Bernie Sanders would have been a regular Democrat in the 30s and 40s just like FDR. Only since Reagan where center-right is called center-left is Sanders a socialist.

However, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Hence, Mike Bloomberg is my friend.

Amy Klobuchar is the only candidate that is talking about mental health parity.

Andrew Yang was the only candidate who implied that people have intrinsic value, unlike Ivanka Trump who calls women an “untapped resource”, flashing dollar signs in her eyes.

“UnAmerican ideals”. You mean like fascism? Oh, wait.
  • Donald Trump (All General Trump Conversations Here)
There's no such animal as a stable genius. A genius is the epitome of instability. Trump is either speaking alternative facts, or highly unstable. Although one can probably speak alternative facts while being highly unstable.

P.s. I like deepfake, I'll add that to my vocabulary.
    — Punshhh

I’m probably crazier than Trump; but unlike him I did well in school, and I’m capable of learning new things.

Yeah, deepfakes are going to make it difficult to know the difference between truth and fiction.
  • How many would act morally if the law did not exist?
    ↪god must be atheist
Exactly. Trump wants to dismantle the social safety net, and he might actually get his way sooner or later. He won’t go unless kicking and screaming.
  • How many would act morally if the law did not exist?
    ↪god must be atheist
My taxes would be the same. Yours might be much more, though.
  • How many would act morally if the law did not exist?
The point is that anyone can be an owner. It even appears that anyone can be the leader of the free (not so free anymore) world. When a few people are in charge who are unaccountable to the stakeholders in society, crime is inevitably widespread. When leaders are accountable and those who are led feel like they have a say and some stake, the people are less likely to commit crimes.

But the king is he demos. The electorate. You and me. — god must be atheist

Maybe it seems more like that in Canada. Not here. It never was.

That's why they say that democracy is the worst possible form of government, except for all the currently available other forms. — god must be atheist

Agreed. If only we had a democracy in the US. We never did.
  • How many would act morally if the law did not exist?
Think of a tribe. They are like one big extended family. It need not have a single leader or even several leaders. Members take the roles of leader or follower as the situation required.

As it stands now, most of us are oppressed and traumatized serfs. Given the chance, many of us would kill the king.
  • How many would act morally if the law did not exist?
If we were born into a world without leaders and with no laws, we would still manage. The community would ostracize individuals with really bad behavior. When and if the community found that the bad individual repented, then s/he would be allowed back into the community.

Since we do live in a world with leaders and laws, we are all too traumatized by oppression and submission to ever live in a society without laws. Blame Big Brother.

Come to think of it, I also think, to this day, that two plus two is four. Sometimes these teachers are wickedly good in what they do, as far as teaching life-long moral or conceptual truths go. — god must be atheist

Yeah, teachers are pretty awesome. If only they could teach some motivation and emotion control into me.
  • How many would act morally if the law did not exist?

I thought it worked on me. I was devastated for a minute, then I was elated for a minute. Finally, I was enlightened.
  • How many would act morally if the law did not exist?
Telling little school children (grade 2 or 3) that blue-eyed kids are inferior, and brown-eyed kids are good children. Then next week, after a social structure had solidified on this precipt, the teacher saying to kids that she had been mistaken, it is actually the brown-eyed kids that are inferior.

This supposedly would teach the kids the value of prejudice.

This has been done actually and for real by a school teacher, but the experimenting was short lived, because the local school board trustees thought that the moral of the story was too complex for 8 to 9-year-olds to internalize.
    — god must be atheist

My first grade teacher actually did this to us, but she told us the moral of the lesson within five minutes.
