They tried censoring him, removing him from the ballot, putting him in jail. They wanted Trump to be assassinated. That much is clear. But now we have to watch their solemn play-acting as they deplore political violence and murder.

    How the desperate lies start.

Top Democratic strategist pushed reporters to consider ‘staged’ shooting

In an email Saturday at 7:34 pm that appeared to be addressed to sympathetic journalists, and which was also sent to Semafor, Mehlhorn wrote that one “possibility -- which feels horrific and alien and absurd in America, but is quite common globally -- is that this ‘shooting’ was encouraged and maybe even staged so Trump could get the photos and benefit from the backlash. This is a classic Russian tactic, such as when Putin killed 300 civilians in 1999 and blamed it on terrorists to ride the backlash to winning power. Others who have embraced this tactic of committing raw evil and then benefitting from the backlash include Hamas on October 7. If any Trump officials encouraged or knew of this attack, that is morally horrific, and Republicans of decency must demand that Trump step down as unfit.”

One side has done so with much greater frequency.

His party affiliation means little, especially when he donated to ActBlue, according to FEC filings. We all remember when Dems were switching to GOP to vote for Nikki Haley in the primaries. Either way, as groups like The Lincoln Project show, anti-Trumpism is a bipartisan moral panic, not limited to any one party.

It’s just not as prevalent as the BlueAnon assassination-prepping we’ve received over the last few years regarding the second coming of Hitler.
  • Donald Trump (All General Trump Conversations Here)

I appreciate it, but there isn’t much to this both-sideism. There are close to 8 years worth of anti-Trumpism propaganda to peruse, but just a speech or Fox News segment on the other hand.
  • Donald Trump (All General Trump Conversations Here)

So it isn’t really comparable at all. Just some comments.
  • Donald Trump (All General Trump Conversations Here)

The sheer number of moral entrepreneurs promoting the anti-Trump cause, along with the combined efforts of the press, makes the moral panic arise in one and not the other.

Can you find any newspapers magazines or documentaries comparing Biden to Hitler for example? Or anything else outside of campaign propaganda?

Ok, a YouTube video from the same guy. So no mass media or anything. It almost has 100,000 views since 2020, which isn’t bad I guess.

I was speaking of propaganda. Maybe you post some. Something comparable to this, maybe?

Yes you posted one quote from one guy before exclaiming both sides are guilty.

    Here’s an example.

What can you show me that’s comparable? Assurance isn’t enough, I’m afraid.

Both sides are guilty of that, e.g.:

I think even you will admit that the propaganda in one outpaces the propaganda in the other. The sheer number of moral entrepreneurs promoting the anti-Trump cause, along with the combined efforts of the press, makes the moral panic arise in one and not the other.

The attempt is the logical conclusion of anti-Trumpism. If you repeat long enough that another human being is an existential threat it won’t be long before someone takes action. It was only a matter of time until the persecution reached murderous levels.

Watch the spin. They’ve radicalized themselves and their obsequious base into a corner. They’re the authoritarians they’ve been warning us about. Even though one of their fellow panicked brethren committed the act, one way or another this will be Trump’s fault.

Prosecute their political opponents, excise their political opponents from the ballot, attempt to remove their own democratically-elected candidate from the race, violate the bill of rights and constitution from every corner. Assassination was all they had left. They failed even that.

Sure but he is President and campaigning for a second term, so he can't avoid going on TV, which means similar things will keep happening.

Yeah, I’m curious to see what his statement about the attempt will be, especially since he’s been saying we need to stop Trump for his whole presidency.

Never mind. His social media handlers have already pushed it.

Much of the details about Biden will be forgotten. But the image of Trump pumping his fist after an assassination attempt will reverberate through history. It’s quite profound to be privy to all this stuff.

Biden incited them to shoot Trump. Isn’t that how it works?

  • How do you interpret nominalism?

In any case, if the difference between things depends (solely) on the relationships between them (e.g. position in space-time) then there is no value in considering the things.

It seems to me that the critical component is the relationships that differentiate.

I agree that relative position (relationships) individuate. Given this, individual substances have no intrinsic properties, essence or identity. In this light the distinction between one substance and many substances is moot.

The only thing of relevance to discuss is the relationships (position) that gives rise to the distinct perceptions.

The relationship is no big concern, in my view, nor of any particular relevance. What’s to discuss? The thing is everything, without which there would be no relationship or any other contrived measurement.

Federal whistleblowers testify against the Biden regime’s complicity in the exploitation and trafficking of migrant children.

What I discovered was horrifying… Make no mistake – children were not going to their parents they were being trafficked with billions of taxpayer dollars by a contractor failing to to vet sponsors and process children safely with government officials complicit in it.

Children were sent to addresses that were abandoned houses or non-existent in some cases

  • How do you interpret nominalism?
I like your account of it, but nominalism to me is a kind of metaphysical pluralism. There is no one substance, like matter, but an unfathomable many substances, individuated by their location in space and time. With this in mind it eliminates a whole host of metaphysical abstractions like universals, ideas, substances etc, at least wherever they are postulated to exist beyond body and language.

Essayist George Clooney drops some new propaganda.

George Clooney: I Love Joe Biden. But We Need a New Nominee.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2024/07/10/opinion/joe-biden-democratic-nominee.html

We are not going to win in November with this president. On top of that, we won’t win the House, and we’re going to lose the Senate. This isn’t only my opinion; this is the opinion of every senator and congress member and governor that I’ve spoken with in private. Every single one, irrespective of what he or she is saying publicly.

That’s not how this works. Even though Democrat insouciance regarding democracy is well known, it becomes quite glaring when it is held against their rhetorical defense of it, something they’ve used to great effect in the ears of their base over the last few years.

Is it advisable for elites like Clooney to subvert the will of the voters at the same time they feign to protect us from threats to democracy? Probably not. But that’s the unprincipled and wind-sock mentality of that party in particular. Now that their great dictator isn’t operating at full steam, power escapes their grips, and power is the only thing they’ve wanted this whole time.

What did Trump do that was authoritarian? Seriously? He tried to pressure the Republican Georgia secretary of state to "find" exactly the number of votes he needed to win.

Trump pressured Raffensperger to find the illegal votes, that is, he pressured him to find crime, as per his duty and mandate.
  • Do I really have free will?

You aren’t limited to one act. At each moment there are an unfathomable series of acts being committed.

And it does matter. In one case the basic biology and metaphysics is dead wrong. Nothing else determines one’s actions. So why believe something else does?
  • Do I really have free will?

By the fact your conscious awareness, which is only in the top 10% of the brain, doesn't know all the processes that lead to a decision, only the final result. Yes, it's 'you' deciding, but you can't have decided differently.
It doesn't matter. We feel as if, think as if and act as if we were making original, independent decisions, so we may as well believe it.

I too think we should believe it. Nothing else in the universe is making these decisions, so in fact they are original and independent. Given this, we can conclude we could have acted differently for the simple reason we are not limited to only one act.

Rather, it appears that “conscious awareness” is the illusion.

Ouch. The New York Times is waging an all-out assault on Biden.

The Democratic Party Must Speak the Plain Truth to the President

The 2024 presidential election is not a contest between two men, or even between two political parties. It is a battle for who we are as a nation.

President Biden clearly understands the stakes. But he seems to have lost track of his own role in this national drama. As the situation has become more dire, he has come to regard himself as indispensable. He does not seem to understand that he is now the problem — and that the best hope for Democrats to retain the White House is for him to step aside.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2024/07/08/opinion/editorials/democrats-biden-truth.html

The arrogance of the media class is palpable, even more so when colliding against the arrogance of the Biden crime family. The best part is that this is the world they’ve made together. This is their vision, the product of their handiwork. And they can do no better than the dystopian future they imagine everyday in the midst of their moral panic.
