• Ukraine Crisis

I am ok, you must be a dull Yank--- lol!! Party line all the way??
  • The Illusory Nature of Free Will

Free will is delusional, and it is agreed the acceptance of this reality creates chaos for society in the forms of religious sin and legal responsibility for one's behaviors. It is perhaps an impossible task for our evolutionary development. All creatures are reactionary creatures including humanity, humanity's greatest error is their belief in themselves as in control. The fact the all movement is motivated movement spells reaction not action. Perhaps if this is accepted, we might live sanely in this world.
  • Ukraine Crisis
The war is between America and Russia the Ukraine's collateral damage and dupes.
  • How should we define 'knowledge'?
    Knowledge is experience and meaning.
  • Do we genuinely feel things

Our senses and understanding are fallible. Our senses give us experience due to the energies or objects of the physical world creating alterations to our body, thus informing bodily consciousness; for it is through the body we come to know an apparent reality. Our apparent reality is made up of reactions to these outer energies or objects, telling us more about our sensory experience than about the energies or objects in and of themselves. So, apparent reality is a biological readout, as much dependent upon the energies/objects of our outer world as it is on the perceptions of their alterations to our bodies.

So, our apparent reality is not what is out there in and of itself, the ultimate reality; it is the mixture of energies and their effects upon us. Other individuals are part of our outer world as objects themselves and they, like yourself are energy forms. Just as their being affect us as energies altering our biology their emotional expressions are also energies affecting us in a similar way and processed through our understanding gives their energies add emphasis and interpretations as to whether this incoming energy is life supporting or life negating. It is all interpretation of energy and unfortunately fallible.
  • How Atheism Supports Religion
Those who argue with believers, give their subject matter a false value in that such a barren topic is taken seriously and even beaten to death on a philosophy site. When all concerned know ahead of time it is a futile exercise and an utter waste of time.
  • The Illusory Nature of Free Will

I don't agree and Schopenhauer wrote a complete philosophy on the basis of the blind will. The way I see it, it is the ever coming into being. Like you might cut your lawn on a summer's day it doesn't give up because every Saturday you cut it down, it keeps coming into being. Sex itself is involuntary, it is not an intellectual decision or consciously willed to be sexually attracted, often it's rather inconvenient. Sex is basically the blind will of the species. Nature plays its species like a violin; the melody it plays upon us only we hear, and call it our apparent reality. As I stated elsewhere, the concept of free will is an egocentric delusion that we come by naturally, in that; we sense we all are at the center of our own universe; but to believe we are in control is a little like madness. If we could understand and accept this perhaps, we could live then in a sacred environment not isolated from it. As we are played by our environment, we call this experience/knowledge and meaning but again it is a melody only the conscious subject hears.
  • Ukraine Crisis
The answer to US aggression against Russia is, the BRIC, the American empire is shaken.
  • The Unsolved Mystery of Evil: A Necessary Paradox?
Evil is that which is a bad/painful/distasteful experience which undermines the essence of life. These experiences diminish rather than support life. The is no mystery about it.
  • How should we define 'knowledge'?
Experience is both knowledge and meaning, being strictly the property of a conscious subject and never does it belong to the world of objects.
  • How Atheism Supports Religion

Yes, in all the history of the gods there never has been a shred of evidence for the existence of these supernatural beings. It is difficult to respect the intellect of someone that can accept the fantastic with no foundation whatsoever. To my way of thinking, if one realizes that the essence of all life is one and the same differing only in structure and form. Also realizing that life lives upon life: life's harshest reality and then purports; to believe in an anthropomorphic god made in his image -- just don't waste my time.
  • How Atheism Supports Religion

Perhaps the definition of atheist should be, those who refuse to believe without evidence.
  • How should we define 'knowledge'?

If you find fault with the reasoning, by all means enlighten me.
  • Nihilism. What does it mean exactly?

Why are you unfamiliar with these terms? They are not my personal creations.
  • How should we define 'knowledge'?

Perception is experience knowledge and meaning all of this is biologically dependent upon the biology having the experience/knowledge/meaning. If one alters any biology and you alter the experience/knowledge/meanings of the individual.
  • Nihilism. What does it mean exactly?

As a species we share a common biology so as long as we are talking about normal healthy specimens the experience/the melody should be one commonly heard. This meaning would be individually experienced and yet in common with species.
  • How should we define 'knowledge'?
Experience is always true to the biology having the experience, if the biology is somewhat defective the experience will be so affected. Alter biology and you alter experience; you alter the reality of the given subject.
  • Nihilism. What does it mean exactly?

It means that organisms, biological consciousness, is the only source of meanings and meanings are the effect/alteration energies make upon the body. It is thus experience is knowledge and meaning. If these experiences were thought of as a melody, it would be a melody only the individual hears.
  • Who Perceives What?
Biological consciousness perceives the alterations the energies of the physical world's effect upon the body, informing biological consciousness of the relative meaning to the organism of the experience, and it is more about the experience than it is about the nature of the energies or said objects. In this sense apparent reality is a melody play upon the organism which is only heard by the organism.
  • How should we define 'knowledge'?
Knowledge is experience and meaning belonging to a conscious subject, and never the property of the object or the world as an object.
  • The Unsolved Mystery of Evil: A Necessary Paradox?
The nature of evil is not a mystery, it is that which is bad, unpleasant, and anti-life pure and simple.
  • Nihilism. What does it mean exactly?
Biological consciousness is the source of all meaning, it is the measure and meaning of all things, as surely as you are at the center of your own being/universe.
  • Substance is Just a Word
Science has had a long tradition of trying to find the ultimate substance, the ultimate stuff all things are made of. Their findings are, things are not made of stuff or material things, things are made of energies. One should always remember; the word is not the thing, and the thing is an energy form.
  • The Illusory Nature of Free Will

Reaction is the process of being part of something larger than oneself, being of the earth. In order to move without, one needs to be moved within, in other words, one needs to be motivated and motivated movement spell's reaction not action. Evolutionary adaptation works on the processes of reaction for without said reactions it would not be possible. Diseases are reactions to chemical or biological invasions of the body and immune reactions are natural solutions. Free will is humanity's expression of egocentricity an understandable development in the sense that everyone feels themselves the center of their own universe; but it is delusional to think that one is in control. There is no such thing as human action, there is but human reactions. You would do well in trying to understand human behavior to ask yourself, what is the individual reacting to? This is not always discernable, but it is the only shot you have at understanding a given behavior that is not itself instinctual; which only means hardwired reactions. I invite anyone to give me an example of a human ACTION that is clearly not a reaction outside of say an epileptic convulsion.
  • The Illusory Nature of Free Will
All organisms are reactionary creatures, the physical world is the cause of all their reactions and their reactions are as cause to the physical world. When one states that there is free will, one needs to ask free will from what. The whole idea is absurd.
  • How Atheism Supports Religion
Atheism supports religion in responding to the absurd. When one knows these people did not come by their belief through reason, it is absurd to demand reason from them; it is what is called an exercise in futility and makes us all fools. A road to nowhere.
  • What exemplifies Philosophy?
The free imagination, wonder in flight is metaphysics; it is what carries us aloft and enlightens the path to our continued journey. It is the quest, without which we dry up and blow away.
  • Nihilism. What does it mean exactly?

The physical world is utterly meaningless, this is the proper non-psychological understanding of a reality, and not the psychological consequences thereof. Biology is the measure and meaning of all things, in other words there are meanings only for conscious biological subjects and in the absence of a conscious subject there is nothing whatsoever. We come to know an apparent reality through our bodies as Spinoza kindly told us, the alterations made to our bodies from the surrounding energies are for us experience/knowledge and meanings but only for us, for it is a song/melody that the energies play upon us and only we hear that melody, the melody of apparent reality. We know not if there are other conscious energy forms out there also listening to the melodies/ apparent realities that are played upon them, there could be; a legion of conscious energies forms out there, all with their private realities.
  • Who Perceives What?

There is but an interplay of energies, that which perceives an apparent reality is an experiencing energy form. While the surrounding energies play upon this energy-conscious form as one would play an instrument, the melody played/apparent reality; is only heard by the instrument/conscious energy form itself. One knows not whether other energy forms like biology itself are listening to the music of themselves, unaware of their private apparent realities.
  • Substance is Just a Word
Substance is energy processed through biology, or the interplay of energies producing apparent reality.
  • Ukraine Crisis
BRIC---- CHECK MATE! Google it, it's going to halt US aggression.
  • Is there an external material world ?
Is there a real external world, the answer has to be no. It is all energy and that energy plays biological consciousness as its instrument, and the melody is apparent reality. It is called apparent reality because it is a tune played on a limited instrument and the instrument can only know the world/ energies effects upon it, which is a melody only biological consciousness/ the instrument hears. Lonely, very very lonely!
  • Is the future real?
The future is not real because it never arrives, it is always the eternal moment.
  • The Hard Problem of Consciousness & the Fundamental Abstraction
Biological consciousness is the instrument the physical world plays, and the melody is apparent reality.
  • Do we genuinely feel things

One only knows apparent reality through one's body as biological reactions, or a biological readout if you like, it indicates what those outside energies mean to the body; not so much about the nature of the energy forms themselves. The form, fields or objects alter one's biology and this is experience/ knowledge, but it is knowledge of biological response, knowledge of effect. Only in part knowledge of the energy form or object as cause, it is apparent, relative to biology.
  • Is "good", indefinable?

The good is that which is life-enhancing, pain and discomfort diminish the life force. Avoidance itself is good if it protects one from that which would diminish one's will.
  • Is there an external material world ?

One must define what one means by illusion, as far as the screen goes you are the screen, for in your absence there is nothing subjectively speaking. Subject and object stand or fall together--Schop. As far as unmanifested energy goes we don't experience much of it and it is not manifested as objects. We know apparent reality by the alterations those energies/objects make on our bodies. There are no certainties that are not relative to the state of one's biology, alter the biology and you alter apparent reality. Sorry for the long delay, life's dramas tend to interfere with my play time. O' what is actual, I would say that what is experienced is considered actual for in order to be experienced it must alter one's biology in some way. Illusion like what we consider actuality to be is biological dependent, again, change the state of one's biology and you change that subject's apparent reality. So, knowing this, how do you wish to define illusion?
  • Why Science Has Succeeded But Religion Has Failed
Religion was once fluid changing with the times and the spoken word which is in keeping with the nature of the world, for the only thing assured in life is change. With the concretization of the word, ignorance became sacred, and unchanging ignorance is thus alien to life itself. Keeping in mind that mythology literally believed is religion. or. Mythology is the other man's religion. Thus, where science swims, religion treads water struggling to keep its head above water.
