    Immanuel Kant: I want to ask you a question, which is better?

    1. Killing is permissible

    or

    2. Killing is impermissible

    Jeremy Bentham: Option 2 is preferrable.

    Immanuel Kant: That's (option 2) my ethics, Kantian ethics. Are you saying a utilitarian (secretly) desires to be a Kantian, morally?
