I was thinking of fermis paradox, but more generally as the sort of...we should see it, but we don't. Why?

We have had so many philosophers, and still do today, that have worked on the question of how to live the good life.
Yet, the good life still seems elusive to many. The answers I would think have been well documented and made readily available to all.
Yet, I don't see it.

Another is logic. Lots has been written about logic and rationality.
So where is logic in society?

Most believe in science. So why do so few practice science?
