Is a human indivisible from the culture in which they exist? Is there a possible human without “culture”?

Has human culture merged with “Internet culture”, what was once conceivably a separate thing?

If not now, will the two one day become one? Is this even an option or a choice now?

Is the Internet simply “us”? Our culture, our life: the good, bad, indifferent, and everything in between?

Has the Internet become invisible though its scope and omnipresence? Is it “the very air we breathe”?

What do you imagine the future of the Internet is?

What are some metaphors used to describe the relationship between humans and the Internet?

Is it a mirror, showing us who we are? Does this go beyond a superficial physical reflection toward such things as “mind”, “essence”, or “soul”?
Is it a window? A portal to view the outside world, other places, people, and even other times in history?
Is it a door linking us to other people and objects? Communication, language, commerce, ideas, art...
Is it a servent or master? Both? Neither?
Is it the intersection between self and other, at the crossroads of past, present, and future?
Is it... alive? Growing, changing, sensing, consuming, reproducing, thinking... ?

Some interesting food for thought concerning this thread:
