I'd like to discuss an article called "Life Through Quantum Annealing: How a quantum computing technique could shape existence."

It explores how quantum annealing (and thus the Ising model from statistical physics) could be a fundamental physical mechanism of the universe; it connects it to observations across physics, cognition, and biology, and it predicts how the model should behave over a series of "games."

The points I'd like to discuss are:
1.) Are there any glaring faults with this proposed model - i.e. is it plausible?
2.) Could this model serve as a basis for philosophy along the lines of ontology, metaphysics, and perhaps teleology?
