You have to make some decisions about what some of this means. "Whole different,"? in what sense? In a contrary or contradictory sense? Qualitative or quantitative? Or degree? Or a wholly other and unrelated sense? And mere changing colour? Or changing from a thing that is not white to a thing that is? Black and white.

Try making a word list of all of the things that white seems to mean or signify. Do any of those admit of a different meaning or connotation if a different colour? How about knights, cowboy hats, wedding dresses? Battle or national flags and white flags. Politics: red Russians v. white Russians. Flesh colours - for a variety of reasons (do not mention race), indicator of emotion, or indicator of season and amount of time spent in the sun - and of if and where tan lines are.

There's the distinction of colour as a sign, as meaningful, or just as an indicator of intrinsic meaning. The white flag, e.g., or is that a polar bear?

Try to find phrases in which a colour is mentioned. "Red in tooth and claw," "Don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes." And the colour of clothing and what different colours signify: socks, shirts, pants, and so forth. And so on.

Try any colour, or black is the best. If you change black to white it gets a whole different meaning.

Seriously though, anything which has a particular colour as part of its essential nature takes on a different meaning if you change its colour. So the sky for example is blue, but if it goes to white, we go from a clear day to a cloudy day. And if the sky goes black, we go from day to night. Or, the grass is green. But if the grass goes to white there is a problem here, and if goes to black, it changes from living to dead.

There are many things you can think of, whose colour is essential to their nature, an orange is orange, the night is black, etc., and if you change the colour of one of these things, that will produce a whole different meaning, because it throws an element of incoherency at you. 'The night was an eerie shade of white.'
