Being Swedish, where Immigration is for many here the hottest of hot potatoes, our semi nazi party that used to be what NSDAP was 1928 is even bigger than what NSDAP was 1930, in the Reichtagswahls.

Its not, for me a simple question. Being of poor rulal scandinavian routes, in a family who saw the upswing for poor people the 1900’s gave I have a great love for the way our culture has evolved, not least in terms of equality for women and the 1900’s belief in a strong welfare state.

There has been a big immigration to Sweden, far bigger than that to our neighboring countries, and we do have serious problems with integration. Sure, there has been a lot of well educated immigrants who seamlessly and quick has adapted to our ways, but especially the block of flats areas has not evolved in a wholesome way.

Now, it is obviously a thing of mercy to offer people that flee from oppression and poverty a refugee.

But, to like starting a discussion here. What does it mean globally that a lot of people leave a country to seek fortunes elsewhere? What happens in the country where a lot of people have left? I am not trying to like push for or against, a lot of people left for America when we were poor and we seemingly did good without them…

Integration, or rather, how to make society work even with people from cultures with very different values is of course also a massive question.

It's mainly Europeans who leave their countries and settle in America Australia, India, Africa, and the Far East, etc. And the way we generally do it is we don't ask permission of the locals, we just take what we want, and impose our culture on those of the natives that we don't get around to slaughtering. That seems the best way to resolve such problems.

Yeah, 500 years of White out-migration (i.e. colonization, resource extraction) has generated the last century or so of "Colored" in-migration (i.e. "immigration crisis" backlash due mostly to maldeveloped (failed/failing) nation-states and/or post-colonial, internecine conflicts perpetuated by rapine, global market-forces). Ethno-populist scapegoating, I guess, will continue to grow (especially, though not exclusively, in White-majority countries) as the ramifications of wealth inequality multiply and intensify. All things being equal, I suspect that nations further ravaged by climate change, pandemics, increasingly aged populations and severe economic dislocations due to ubiquitous automation / robotics, in the next decades migration flows to the EU/NA countries (i.e. Climate-Arks) might be reduced (e.g. by Autonomous Surveillance/Weapons Systems aka "unmanned drone swarms") to zero or a tiny fraction of what they are today. :mask:
