Some of you ( of the poli-wonk persuasion) might enjoy a U.S Government polsim forum game I play called "Capital Hill". You play as a rep or senator, run for office, try to pass bills and maybe even run for president one day.

They are especially looking for more people to sign up as Democrat politicians in order to even out the game.

So, on a scale of 1 to 10, how serious is this game in tone?

what do you mean "in tone?

It is a serious game, not to the point where it is not fun to play.....but serious enough that it is realistic

As a member of the Democratic Party, I don't take people seriously who call it the Democrat Party and call members Democrat, rather than Democratic, politicians.
