It's that time of year again - time to itemize the things you'll do in the upcoming year. Mine will be neither to wear more hats nor to eat more slowly (as most of you anticipated), nor will fornicating with @Michael's mum be in order (ain't enough Viagra on the planet to make that happen). Mine will be important and inspiring. However, before revealing my plans, I'd like to hear from y'all, so let's hear it.

I hope to be moved into my own apartment. And my goal for this year is to make enough money to not starve to death. Also to hopefully get out of the depression crap.

I will keep a job. (Technically on my fifth in just around a couple of months. Quit, turned down before starting, fired after three weeks, quit after a day, and now I'm a couple of weeks in to the current one).

I want to really learn a musical instrument (to cultivate any proficiency at music).

Also would like to understand some more basic physics in connection with doing home experiments:

    1. Building a simple radio (receiving, transmitting, amplifying)
    2. Photograph and experiment with Chaldni patterns.
    3. Playing with object resonance (how to understand, determine or explain object resonance).

I will continue on in college taking three classes this Spring semester after taking my first class back this Fall after a 21yr break to be at home and raise the kids.
Victimology/Crisis Management, Bio and Abnormal Psychology. Three classes left on my A.A. degree and two years on my Bachelor's.
Look out world! I am rested, knowledge hungry and ready to go!!! :strong:

Apart from getting and more importantly maintaining a job, I look forward to taking my mom on a trip to Catalina Islands on a cruise ship. Something affordable and fun.

We haven't had a vacation for something like 15 years. I think it's high time to enjoy some festivities at the sea.

Don't drink any water so that you'll have only dry heaves. Nurse the dehydration headache by squinting directly into the sun and aggressively rubbing your temples while repeatedly muttering "Jesus" to yourself.

I would like to recommend you a bodhran. A bodhran is an Irish drum you play to help folk musicians keep the rhythm, and it can also be played alone. I bought one and it is really easy and the sound is pleasant. I can already do Caroline´s bodhran in "Toss the feathers"! which means it is really easy to learn in comparison with other instruments.

Excellent resolution. But please don't just 'try' to discourage me, I need some positive action here.

My New Year's Resolution is to spend less time on the internet.

    But I found this place.
    And the Resources page.

I wish I could give you the bullshit advice that @Hanover would and say it will only get worse and worse but...BUT...one of the beauties of getting older is that the facts get fuzzy so the reconciliation between what we had then and what we have now are put into their proper order. :flower:

This morning I awoke to what I thought were the sounds of an angel weeping, then I read your post and thought perhaps it was you I was hearing from afar, but then I realized it was just your mother's wheezing emphysema from her meth burned lungs waking me up.

Just read this. Your life is full to the brim already. What's an A.A. degree ?
And where do you get your energy ? Raw meat ? Nuts ?

    Amity

Yay!!! An A.A. degree is an Associates Degree in Art (Crisis Communication as my focus) that is a transferable 2 year degree to a University. An A.A. degree can be earned at a Community College or the first two years at a University. The difference between the two is cost. A 3 credit class at a community college is about $300 a semester where at a state University here in AZ is $2,200 a semester.
It's funny that you ask where I get my energy from because a year ago I wouldn't have believed it myself but yeah I start my day with a 15 oz bottle of Kombucha instead of coffee with no loss of energy. I cut out all soda (reg and diet) moved to black tea through out the day and eat protein, fiber and fat in small amounts with a limit of 20 net carbs a day. I probably consume a cup of Pecans daily which I swear has more than a filling effect but it also has energy in it. Add a handful of Cherry tomatoes rounding the meal out with shavings of harder white cheeses like Parmesan or Romano? That's a meal! I am never hungry and despite my initial expectations, and I realize this sounds horrible but I actually have TOO much energy now. Right? Yeah, my body keeps wanting to go but my mind is like really? Still? :gasp:
Hence my return to school.
