Deriving most notions of truth from mathematical formulations and empirical research, Analytic Philosophy is a study in ideal states. It’s application to contemporary ideas such as free-will and liberty, as well as formal logic, often depict the school of thought in contrast to European ideologies, which have inspired fervor movements and mass upheaval. Another outstanding deviation that exists in European philosophy is the abstract study of metaphysics and the often mythological references used in text. An overview of politics and culture in America, including radical identity groups and the psychology of status, hardly leaves the impression of analytics upon the observer. Is it possible that we continue to fall under the spell of idolatry and radicalism, or is America actually less spiritual than it appears?

Note that I am not commenting on economics or policies. This is a question in regard to the philosophical culture of the United States.

I also wonder where this comes from

Are you observing, analyzing, evaluating or just collecting impressions?

In what sense does America appear 'spiritual'?
I can't make sense of what is being asked.

    It's very dense word salad.

@EdwardC - please put more detail into your points and questions. I'm going to close the thread. You can remake something on the topic but please try to make it readable.
