I have just turned 54 years of age, and am an English Teacher in Asia. I have lived and worked in Thailand, my current home (and where I have lived for most of the past ten years) and also Vietnam and China. In January I got Encephalitis, apparently from pneumonia, and was hospitalised for several weeks in the city I lived and worked, Foshan (Guangdong Province, southern China). The first week or so of that period I spent in a coma and so that my - already often deep - perspectives., albeit that I also love a good 'laugh' (I'm English, after all!!) have perhaps deepened somewhat is probably of no surprise to anyone!

'Learning is a lifelong process, it is a self-directed and self-paced journey of discovery…not a forced march and “race” to a learning standard or data point' - This one isn't of course, but I actually love a lot of movie quotes, but out of context, or if you haven't seen the movie, the words may never have the same meaning to others as they do to me!
