  • Bias inherent in the Scientific Method itself?
I'm fully aware of the contradictions in my statement contradictions do exist as well as paradox oxymoron and many others however that does not negate from the subjective accuracy of my statement

So I'm not sure if you're clarifying or agreeing or disagreeing with me?
  • Any high IQ people here?
The IQ test is a testament to the low intelligence of the inventor and the faculties that implemented
  • Bias inherent in the Scientific Method itself?
The scientific method is basically a limited selection of parameters that if the world does not meet those parameters then according to science it does not exist but those parameters had to be set by somebody and that somebody was no God but just a man or men and so science turns a blind eye to the majority of existence because it doesn't fit the parameters

Now even if those parameters were adjusted to be as wide as possible you still would not get an accurate interpretation of reality because an explanation is never the thing itself it is just a perspective and a perspective is not the same thing as existence so no matter how many semantics are used you're only getting an opinion and not the real thing unfortunately.
  • YHWH & Language
My hypothesis is that it's not a name because that which has a name has a creator
    So instead it's 4 acronyms
  • Is Logic a matter of Intelligence??
    [r

    >>>Why you think that it's a social thing? For me Logic follows human knowledge (science etc). I also believe that Logic is transforming and it will be different for sure in thousand years as you mentioned but cause of human knowledge would be different. And not cause of social matters<<<

I consider that a social thing

    >>>1. Practical Logic (if I can name it that way). Meaning Logic about things in everyday life. Like for example when you have a problem at work or at home and you try to find the best solution. Let's say that I lost my keys and I can't get in my house. The Logical thing to do is to call an expert to open the door for me and not break the door as to get in. In such everyday problems seems that Logic depends on Intelligence indeed. And that seems to be the biggest obstacle.<<<

although I can definitely see your point and I want to lean towards the green with that point I have to disagree because I'll though to me and you that both seems like very obvious and logical scenario we have to keep in mind that there are people like for instance in the rainforest that have zero Western education so by Western standpoint they are not intelligent and yet they have figured out a way to survive in the rainforest which is a very hard place to find nutrients and clean water despite its name

and some of these Contraptions they can make for hunting can be quite impressive and so in their own way they show high intelligence and yet

will turn around and have a celebration where all the virgin men one that one sleep with a virgin woman and then the last one if the sacrifice as two massive pillars fall down crushing both of them in celebration

which they voluntarily chose to die for and then our boiled and eaten as the celebration dinner and all because they didn't have an individual identity but it was more of a hive mind identity where you thought of yourself as the tribe and not the individual you which we find morbid and absolutely ridiculous in Western Society

and so intelligence was paired with Logic for survival reasons and yet went out the window at Mach 4 when judged by our Western version of logic

    >>>2. Life Logic. Meaning the way someone live his life (beliefs, life decisions, relations with others etc). And in that form of Logic seems that intelligence doesn't play the biggest role. If someone for example has a drug or alcohol problem. He might understands how bad is for him (logic) but he just can't stop it (put logic in practice). In that kind of cases and others too (like racism) the biggest obstacle seems to be psychological factors, maybe genetic factors too. But for me in such cases(racism) an important role plays that these people don't work with themselves at all. They don't dare to give the fight with themselves. They are too scared to doubt what they have already known (from the families, societies etc). They prefer to shit Logic as to avoid face their own selves! They just grab on their beliefs despite how illogical or idiotic they might be cause their whole world would "collapse" otherwise.<<<

there is quite an interesting situation with a human being where we can know damn well what we need to do and yet keep shooting ourselves in the foot because the human body seems to be separate from the mind yet not and because of this can be trained to do something the mind doesn't want to do and the only criteria to train it is repetition so once you make the body repeat something enough times it gets addicted to it and then it almost doesn't matter what the brain says and it requires somebody with extremely strong willpower to redirect the body and stop doing these self-damaging things..

and I would have to agree with you people have shown to be very lazy minded and quite frankly evil in my philosophical Endeavor to understand myself and reality

because I only want to know what's the truth or the closest thing to it cuz it is opinion-based but I very very very rarely come across somebody it actually holds the same goal in mind I usually am disappointed as I watch people turn a blind eye to the most horrific perspectives just so they won't have to have anxiety for have to re contemplate and form an opinion on something and it's White Eagle to be perfectly honest
or at least to me it is.
  • The Thing Outside of Itself
this pondering as well as the actual "thing" that supposedly exists outside of itself how can we confirm that the hypothesis is correct when we aren't out side of are self?

I say that we can't and to make matters even more difficult we can't even properly ponder it because that would be an attribute we don't have so any concept we come up with is inaccurate in comparison to the actual thing assuming the actual thing did in fact exist so rather it exists or not we are incapable of comprehending it so whatever you're calling a thing outside of itself is not how a thing outside of itself would exist
  • The Thing Outside of Itself
Wait a minute so you being a thing inside of itself thinks that it can comprehend a thing outside of itself by using the thing inside itself to create something inside itself which is an idea and a concept of something that could be outside of itself. Do you see the contradiction here?
  • Can we understand ancient language?
This reminds me of a short story I made to try to explain to my Christian friend why he probably had no idea how to interpret the Bible and I think it goes perfect with what you're saying. Here it is
I have this boner that I love and love to show it to all my friends especially my dog and when my dog showed my boner to his dog he thought it was so funny he just had to show it to his pup (hes just a little pup about 6yrs old) and of course you know how pup's can get when shown a really good boner.

Now that story probably sounds a bit perverted at first glance but I promise you there is a valid reason for the unusual choice of words .
this little story is to prove a point about how the meaning of words change over time and how even if your talking in your native language you can still get lost and confused as to the meaning of a word or phrase depending on if its from a time period before or after yours.

So in this example I used different meanings ranging from the 1920's all the way to today
As well as a variety of cultural influences

See the name for a cartoon comedy back in the 1920's was called a "boner" because it would make you laugh so much your bones would hurt and only got its sexual meaning after the popularity of playboy in the 1950's

and obviously dogs don't know how to read comics but bestfriends do and so a "dog" is when your in the hood referring to your close buddie/friend.

So with that information I think it should completely change the interpretation of the story as well as shed a new understanding on how the original meaning of words will always change to fit the culture and the times they're in
  • Why am I me?
Se when a mommy and daddy love each other
  • Who believes in the Flat Earth theory?
I believe that it is round ish but is a conglomerate of several realms separated by watet
  • Ego & Afterlife

I should have clarified a little bit better
I was speaking about more of a broader scale not a personal singular individual standpoint because people are still constantly looking for the answer despite the fact some think that they have found the answer so that is what I mean by unquenchable
  • An explanation of God
All is not one because there is no one of anything this non-duality Eastern crapshoot of a theory is the dumbest thing I've ever heard and yet it's spreading like wildfire through the neurotic minds of the modern civilization. And to think you can conceptualize and all creator that created existence itself is laughable because there is no way a human brain is capable of remotely grasping the entirety of something like an all creator God and not to mention your perspective has a sunny disposition to it because you're ignoring all the bad things in this world. I've seen things in this world that would make you throw up if you instantly saw them and according to you your god did those things because he was learning himself or something ridiculous along those lines.
    Common Sense has become extinct.
  • What’s The Difference In Cult and Religion
Well i was raised in a cult that was based off of the charismatic Christian branch of the Christian religion
Toll i packed my backpack and ran away when i was 21ur old and so i don't have a very good understanding of standard religion but from how I see it I would say that standard religion would be something people half ass and casually do where in a cult they live and breathe that religion 24/7 with severe repercussions if not doing so.
  • Ego & Afterlife
The religion of bumping particles AKA science says there is no afterlife because it wants to quantify something and then repeat the process in order for verification of an afterlife to exist. While I on the other hand think that you cannot use one existence to prove another existence you can't use an imaginary cup with real water or real cup with imaginary water and expect the outcome to be quenching in any way
  • Objective Morality: Testing for the existence of objective morality.
    no
If I had said there IS an objective morality then that would apply.
And i don't give a shaved rats ass about anybody's razor or any philosophical fallacies or phrases by other people that I'm not talkin to so because I'm alive and actually here to talk to how about you say something other than quoting somebody else that's not in the conversation because I don't subscribe to the groupie phrases
  • Objective Morality: Testing for the existence of objective morality.
There is no objective morality plane and simple
  • Is intelligence levels also levels of consciousness?
You titled your topic in such a way that I can't help but think that you have an accent
  • Is progression in the fossil record in the eye of the beholder
I would be more inclined to believe a out of the ocean theory instead of out of Africa
  • What Is Evil
For a person to be evil it requires them to have good intentions
but all semantics aside there is fundamentally only growth and decay what we call evil usually fits in the category of decay
  • For The Greater Good.
There are lots of bad people but to be evil it requires that the person has good intentions.
  • Is progression in the fossil record in the eye of the beholder
That's not to mention the out of Africa theory which I absolutely do not believe
  • Is progression in the fossil record in the eye of the beholder
I have mixed feelings about "Neanderthals" do to the lack of fossils and the extreme lack of complete skeletal fossils and the shady happenings around the DNA testing that was done on said fossils
  • First marriages.

Hmmmm, I have been married for 26 years, faithful for 30 years to the same man, so I am not sure how to feel about what you said.
You are either spot on or talking horse hockey

Why do you say that? . And for the record I am happily married to my best friend for 9 yrs and it's are 1st marriage and I wasn't into dating before we met I felt like it was a man trap as I watched all my guy friends lose the reminds trying to get some tail every weekend and all the drama that goes with it so I'm definitely all the way over on 1 side of the spectrum.
  • First marriages.
Don't fighters get used to the pain of being hit by practicingbody body hardening? Don't swimmers get better at holding their breath by holding their breath?

Don't drug addicts have to take more drugs the longer they're on them? .

The human being gets used to whatever it's doing and tries to autopilot everything and reach a state of equilibrium again this is why the first time to do anything seems like the best time and anytime after that is bittersweet

I see people all the time break up and go looking for the next person to be with and each time they have a little more baggage and love a little less .

Now the the person that is in this scenario most certainly cannot see it in this way because they are blinded by said baggage and scars
  • First marriages.
The more people you sleep with and love the more numb you become and the less you truly value someone
  • A New Paradigm in the Study of Consciousness
I'm wondering what physical scale and what mechanism is at work. A neuron has about 100 trillion atoms and has an active state when firing and an inactive (very stable) state when not firing. So I would identify this as a significant scale and mechanism (for consciousness

I think that people often depend on other people's opinions as if they are fundamental truth/facts when in reality they are just guesses that are popular.

And in depending on so many other people's opinions without hesitation we become limited in are ability to understand the world we live in

when are means of measuring and understanding don't fit the thing we're measuring it leaves us perplexed as to why reality doesn't fit our measuring device that is supposed to be able to measure all of reality and not once thinking if perhaps the salesman sold us a piece of crap.
  • If nothing can be known, is existing any different to not existing?

    You said and I quote

"But being awake does feel different to being asleep.

Therefore, the assumption is wrong, and there are things that can be know."

And so I pointed out that there's much more complexity to dreams than the standard fuzzy vague kind and I was pointing that out because they can feel just as real as real so my point being it doesn't always feel different in some lucid dreams it feels just like this.

So in certain instances being awake doesn't feel any different than being asleep
  • If nothing can be known, is existing any different to not existing?
But being awake does feel different to being asleep.

Therefore, the assumption is wrong, and there are things that can be know.

Not necessarily. I've been an avid lucid dreamer for about 15 years and I have discovered there are several different levels or layers to the dream state and disturbingly some are much more real than this state
  • Depression and Individualism
    55
↪Noble Dust Many people who report depression also report low self-esteem. Perfection, in whatever effort they make, is not achieved, further driving perfectionist drives and further lowering one's sense of effective executive agency. It's a vicious cycle. I'm not sure whether depression is the cause of this cycle or the result, but they seem to go together for many people.

    I agree with you.

I know that one of the main contributing reasons for my depression was when I hit a wall metaphorically speaking
I couldn't accomplish hardly anything and being Mr fix it all my life then over night becoming Mr can't fix it
    Really jacked with my head
  • Dream, Dream, Dream; Reality
Sounds like your going through your Saturn return
I went through a similar thing from 27 to 29 Years old during that time I had several dreams that stuck with me .
It is your self truing to work on its self. It's inner work that you have no choice but to do and it will be hard.
  • Life is getting easier with less money.
What planet called silver spoon do you live on?
  • Is Logic a matter of Intelligence??
The more I think about it the more I can't help but lean towards the idea that logic is just a temporal social thing and not a fundamental fact of reality and that it could be completely bipolar different a thousand years from now than it is now because it's only grounded in society in the time that you live in
  • Is Logic a matter of Intelligence??
lol that is one of the hardest questions to find the answer to I'm my philosophical quest lol the ability to be a dumbass has no limits and will overcome even the greatest on minds on occasion.

I feel that it's not something that has 1 simple answer but many different reasons

From what I've seen when a person is logical it seems to be in a situation of importance BUT without much attachment to the specific situation which allows them to have a clear mind to the implement logic

And in scenarios where I've seen a very smart person be a dumbass there is usually some form of attachment to the situation usually in the form of information that's taboo or just in general they don't want others to know or some root desire causing them to toss logic to the side in almost a schizophrenic desperate attempt at obtaining an end result and in doing so they overlook all the logic of the situation because they just want it in result and this causes them to be a complete illogical dumbass in the moment
  • Is Logic a matter of Intelligence??
Logic doesn't require intelligence what so ever . i have seen this in many situations in life

I have seen retarded people make logical choices and i have seen people with more degrees than a thermometer make the most illogical head up ass decisions you've ever seen
  • What is the Obsession with disproving God existence?
I don't think that's the obsession I think the obsession is trying to get people to prove that God does exist because you can't proven nothing to be nothing but you can try to prove nothing to be something which has yet to be done .
  • Can God make mistakes?
so like a coward you're going to avoid the main point of my reply and highlight something pointless like sky daddy?what a narcissistic coward okay I guess our conversation is done especially seeing as everybody here has proved you wrong on every point

you just choose to try to argue with people probably so you can have something to masturbate too since you lost that taboo picture of your mom to jack off to I'm not sure but either way I'm done with your kiddish ass
  • Divided Consciousness:How Do We Achieve Balanced Thinking? (Gilchrist on the Master and Emissary)
I'm extremely confident that our minds are more than just our brains however from a scientific standpoint I feel that this is unproofable because scientists consist mainly of mathematicians that want to quantize things and we're talking about a non-quantizable aspect of the human being which is unfortunately affected by what happens to the brain physically much so just like a radio isn't the music but it is the thing that makes the music so you damage the radio you damage the quality of the music but fundamentally speaking music remains undamaged

On several occasions I've been able to pull information that I did not know previously and confirm it upon waking up and or ending meditation and found it to be accurate

And there was a time several years ago where I was struggling with a severe chemical imbalance that left me extremely foggy brand couldn't focus my mind on anything was extremely depressed it was impossible to feel anything other than sadness and sorrow and the world felt fake (my dopaminergic system was fried)

But I had a realization one day when I was thinking about a dream I had because in that dream I was sharp minded it was an amazingly happy dream one of the best experiences ever I felt beyond normal and upon waking I was back to my foggy cloudy depressed self again

But I realized that we are affected and seemingly at the mercy of the body but we are more then the body and that are mind or at least part of it transcends the body and I knew this had to be the case do to how I transcended a mental state of terrible depression completely transcended it when even pharmaceutical intervention couldn't help but upon returning to the body upon waking I was submerged back into the issues the body had
