Quoth S.I., "one more time comrades, if you want to be revolutionaries".

I have posted this here because it's kind of a half-baked thread.

    A set of clarifications:

A brief and pointless depiction of the political spectrum within respective left to right order focusing on the libertarian Left:

communization, left-wing communism, libertarian socialism, autonomism, anarchism, democratic socialism, social democracy, left-wing liberalism, centrism, etc.

    A short note:

European socialism, I'd probably put before anarchism, though it also kind of falls into some various places. The list was kind of based off of that communization, which seeks to immediately establish communist society, does happen to be the furthest left. As I am a libertarian socialist, aside from being a pacifist, though just say that I'm an anarcho-pacifist, as I'm not necessarily not an anarchist, I don't think that being further left is somehow better.

    End of note.

To clarify, by "the Left" I am referring to everything before and not including social democracy. I have given an only so characteristic depiction of the libertarian Left because it is what I am moreso familiar with. It's not entirely the case, as anarchism, for instance, goes all over the place, aside from that any further lefts are rather ostensive, but I think that you get the general idea.

In fact, whenever I have used the term, "the Left", I have to done so to refer to both the libertarian and authoritarian, with whatever in between, political philosophies to the seeming left of social democracy. Whenever I use the term, "the Left", I am referring to what, in the United States, people call the "far-Left". Left-wing liberals, for instance, have never been included under what I blanketly term, "the Left". If I want to exclude the authoritarian left-wing ideologies, I use the "libertarian Left". This time in less particular order, Mao Zedong Thought, Marxism-Leninism Maoism, and Marxism-Leninism are all categorized within what I call "the Left". Most left-wing populists would not be within that category.

My usage of "the Left" refers to the "far-Left". As I want for it not to be extreme, I prefer to talk about it in such a manner.

Despite my doing so, I have a distinct aversion to collaborating or affiliating with the authoritarian Left. This is not true of all of the libertarian Left, but it's all w/e.

If, at any point, you have taken my usage of "the Left" to refer to anything else, then, you have both been mistaken and confused. As what I call "the Left" just kind of is what the Left is, that is not my fault, though, things being how they are, I don't blame you for it.

    Another short note:

This usage of "the Left" is common within a European context, particularly, as I have put it, within France. As the French did kind of come up the Left and Right in the first place, I do think that what they call "the Left" is just simply what it is. "The Right" just refers to everything right of center, though.

    End of note.

Edit: On second thought, I may begin referring to what I've been calling "the Left" as the "far-Left", as it has occurred to me that most of the rest of Europe probably uses "the Left" to include all of socialism, social democracy, and left-wing liberalism, which is how my doing so is probably somehow confusing, aside from that I'm not sure as to what sense to make of the French convention.

    End of edit.

    End of clarifications.

Anyways, does anyone else feel like the Left is anymore unsuccessful because of that it just happens to be considerably less preferable to the actual ruling class? For me, it's been a real crash course in psychological manipulation and intellectual cruelty. It could just be me, though. I don't know. Maybe it'll get better someday?

I once told a joke about how I'm a "blush Russian" that relates to this. If anyone is curious, though, my preferred political designation is as a "prosecco socialist".

You can respond to this if you like, but I'm just kind of rambling.

Anyways, I'll be taking off again. So long!
