Ha ha! Love the way she mimics the trumpet by just making tut tut with her mouth.

    Thanks for the cheer up.

I like this tune below, though I am afraid the lyrics are not very cheerful. Judging from the many translations available online, they are also hard to translate, often the mark of a good poem.

    Me guardo tu recuerdo
    como el mejor secreto,
    que dulce fue tenerte dentro.

    Hay un trozo de luz
    en esta oscuridad
    para prestarme calma.
    El tiempo todo calma,
    la tempestad y la calma,
    el tiempo todo calma,
    la tempestad y la calma.

    Siempre me quedará
    la voz suave del mar,
    volver a respirar
    la lluvia que caerá
    sobre este cuerpo y mojará
la flor que crece en mi,
    y volver a reír
y cada día un instante volver a pensar en ti.

     Etc.

And now, for @Amity, something a bit cheesy perhaps, a bit old school, but oh so very cheerful.

Thank you. Sometimes it's good simply to feel the beat and the heat without analysing

    Breathe, breathe in the air
    Don't be afraid to care
    Leave, but don't leave me
Look around, choose your own ground
Long you live and high you fly
Smiles you'll give and tears you'll cry
And all you touch and all you see
Is all your life will ever be

    Run, rabbit, run
Dig that hole, forget the sun
When, at last, the work is done
Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one
Long you live and high you fly
But only if you ride the tide
    Balanced on the biggest wave
You race towards an early grave

    Home, home again.
I like to be here when I can.
When I come home cold and tired
It's good to warm my bones beside the fire.
    Far away across the field
The tolling of the iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees
To hear the softly spoken magic spells.

I've been on a David Crosby bender since last year, when my dear other and I discovered his last album, and more to the point, his last single, with the inimitable Michael McDonald on backing vocals, produced by his once-adopted and subsequently re-united son/co-writer/producer James Raymond. This became our Single of the Year, we played it on countless road trips.

Love this song

[...] Each woman in the song thus represented an archetype or stereotype of her era. The first, ‘Aunt Sarah’, represented the painful ‘Mammy’ stereotype; a supposedly loyal and devoted servant, who was docile, maternal, asexual and unfeminine (M. Harris-Perry, 2011). The second, ‘Saffronia’, was a mixed-race woman, whose very existence evinced a long and sordid history of the rape of black women by white men. The third, ‘Sweet Thing’, was a young prostitute, who not only represented the demeaning ‘Jezebel’ stereotype of the hypersexualised black woman, but whose verse also provided a biting critique of the sexual and economic exploitation of black women. Her story reflected the painful and desperate situation of many economically disempowered women, who found their bodies to be the only economic asset at their disposal [...]
Simone, enraged by the historical, social, political and economic situation of black women, was most like ‘Peaches’, the last narrator, whose raging, shouting verse brought the song to its dramatic climax. Peaches reflected the ‘angry black woman’ stereotype, but importantly, this anger was justified, righteous, and loudly, unapologetically proclaimed.

Phil Collins - That's Just The Way It Is (Official Music Video)

"That's Just the Way It Is" is a song (anti-war ballad) by English drummer Phil Collins, released as a single in July 1990 from his fourth solo studio album, ...But Seriously (1989).

    Excerpt:
All day long he was fighting for you
And he didn't even know your name
Young men come and young men go
But life goes on just the same

    And I don't know why
Why do we keep holding on?
    I don't know why
Pretending to be, oh, so strong
    Oh, why?
Is there something I don't know?
Or something very wrong with you and me?
    Or maybe

    That's the way it is
That's just the way it is...

The Way It Is - Bruce Hornsby
Bruce Hornsby and the Range from their 1986 album The Way It Is

Standing in line marking time, waiting for the welfare dime
'Cause they can't buy a job
The man in the silk suit hurries by
As he catches the poor old ladies' eyes just for fun he says, "Get a job"

That's just the way it is
    Some things will never change
That's just the way it is
    But don't you believe them

They say hey little boy you can't go where the others go
'Cause you don't look like they do
Said hey old man how can you stand to think that way
Did you really think about it before you made the rules, he said, son

That's just the way it is... [repeat chorus]

Well they passed a law in '64
To give those who ain't got a little more
But it only goes so far because the law don't change another's mind
When all it sees at the hiring time is the line on the color bar

That's just the way it is.
    Some things will never change
That's just the way it is
That's just the way it is, it is, it is, it is
